In 2012, The Bramble Patch celebrates its 25th anniversary as one of Britain's leading patchwork and quilting businesses.
As well as a large shop packed with decorative and utility fabrics, thread, haberdashery, books, kits, tools and patterns, we have large, airy classrooms and a dedicated wet studio space for dyeing and other surface design workshops.
Over the years, we've built up a core of regular, experienced teachers offering classes in patchwork, quilting and appliqué for all levels. We supplement our regular teachers with a wide range of guest quilters, embroiderers, textile and mixed media artists who offer a broad selection of day workshops and longer courses in everything from specific projects for the home to developing personal artistic themes and styles.
We also offer a professional quilting service, on our two Gammill long-arm quilt machines, making it easy and convenient to get those pieced tops finished if you find quilting on a domestic machine tricky.
All our customers and students are invited to enjoy complementary tea and coffee, throughout the day in their classes, or while browsing the book section on our café-style mezzanine overlooking the main workshops.
Our converted church premises are located in the rural Northamptonshire village of Weedon, which is easily accessed from the M1 motorway, the A45 and the A5 (Watling Street).
