Our Easter exhibitions will be on show from Saturday 23 March through Saturday 6 April 2013 (but closed Sundays and Easter Monday as always).

Orientation by SiX and Friends

The textiles group SiX and Friends includes so many well-known and admired quilt and textile artists: Hilary Beattie,Ineke BerlynLaura KemshallLinda KemshallEdwina MackinnonCatherine NichollsAnnabel RainbowStephanie Redfern and the late Marie Roper. Many of them have also taught at The Bramble Patch, and we are delighted to welcome their latest exhibition, Orientation.

Creative Explorations – A look inside the process

Bren Boardman and her ten Independent Study Group students will share their creative textile work from idea to outcome. Sketchbooks, samples, completed original art quilts, hangings, pictures and other works will be on display.

Riches of Stitches

An exhibition of work by students from Angie Hughes‘s Stitch, Cloth, Paper & Paint and Machine Embroidery day-a-month courses, including both development of techniques and skills in samples and framed pieces, as well as stitched mixed-media textile books and boxes.

Hidden Depths

Work by past and present students of Linda Maynard’s Mastering Dye Processes day-a-month course, showcasing the variety of surface design techniques learnt and their application, through a selection of art quilts and art cloth.

All proceeds to Macmillan Cancer Support as usual.
