Bren Boardman is a surface design artist creating original textiles for fine art, fashion and interiors. After studying printed textiles at Loughborough University, she set up her studio at home in rural Warwickshire.
Combining drawings, photography and text and encompassing colour, pattern and structure of fibres and fabrics, she creatively explores processes such as dyeing, painting, printing, stitching and embellishing traditional and geo-textiles.
Her work has featured in magazines, books and on the catwalk, and she exhibits regularly, teaches and takes commissions.
Bren is a regular teacher at The Bramble Patch, offering both day workshops like Sketchbooks for the Terrified, and longer courses such as her long-running Explore Your Creative Potential course. During her open studio week at The Bramble Patch, she’ll be working on pieces relating to her day workshop Painting Your Garden.
