With extensive knowledge of a wide range of stitched textile techniques including hand and machine embroidery, patchwork, quilting and appliqué, Edwina has many years of teaching experience of both City & Guilds and other courses. Her own work reflects her skill and technical knowledge with a wide repertoire of surface decoration techniques ranging from hand dyeing, screen printing and discharge processes. She teaches a recurring class called Exploring Patchwork at The Bramble Patch, as well as various day workshops.
Visiting tutor Catherine’s work encompasses not only art quilt making, but also hand knitting and dyeing. Key to Catherine’s work is the inclusion of sketchbooks in the artistic process and this work if often translated into drawings and paintings on paper as well as textile works.
