Photo gallery : The Mystery Revealed and On The Edge

It’s a picture post today with photos from our current exhibitions! The Mystery Revealed is quilts made by the brave quilters who joined the inaugural 2015 Mystery Club, and On The Edge is the 2016 challenge from the Contemporary Quilts Group of the Quilters’ Guild of the British Isles. So there’s something for everyone!

Welcome to the exhibitions…

“The Mystery Revealed”

We’re showing all the quilts in the exhibition because we think they are all fabulous and we’re so glad that you all were willing to join us on the journey into the unknown!

For those who missed it, last year’s Mystery Club project was hand-pieced using English Paper Piecing (EPP) and members didn’t know what their project would look like! They chose one of our four seasonal palettes and we chose fabrics for them, which they turned into 16 different hexagonal star blocks. They then had the choice of three sizes and playing with four different layouts, plus selecting their own choice of background fabric and borders! We think they’ve all come out beautifully!

“On The Edge”

Here is just a flavour of the works in this juried exhibition by members of the Contemporary Quilt Group – there are  39 – too many to share them all – and all varied in style and approach to the theme “on the edge”. There are also accompanying sample files to show working processes. If you’re in the area and want to see them all, the exhibition will be open every day until 4pm on Saturday 11 June.

We hope you enjoy the pictures and do feel free to share this post with friends who might have missed it!
