Inspired by Hundertwasser….
Using the wonderful colour and fascinating shapes and form in the paintings of Hundertwasser as a starting point, students will learn how to use transfer foil applied to a cotton velvet surface, enhancing the shape and pattern using aluminium foils from chocolate wrappers then interesting machine techniques to finish the surface.

- Angie will bring these materials along but if you have any in your stock please bring them they are bound to be a bit different which makes things more interesting.
A kit will be available for £5 which includes A selection of Transfoils, Black cotton velvet and Full instructions.
- Basic sewing kit
- Sweetie foil (aluminium)
- Small pieces of bright coloured silk fabric
- Metallic and coloured embroidery threads
- Transparent coloured organza
- Sewing Machine
Don’t forget you will be using Hundertwasser as inspiration for your work, so if you have any favourite bits enlarge them a bit and bring them along to work from.
The base fabric will be black cotton velvet, which Angie will supply. Angie will show you how to use this and some clever tricks to make the most of transfoil even the pieces you have used most of the foil from.
For most classes and workshops, you will need to bring your own supplies and equipment; a list of specific requirements can be see above. When materials are included or supplied by the tutor, this will be stated in the class description.
All workshops and classes must be paid for in full. We are sorry, but sometimes we have to cancel a class due to circumstances beyond our control. If this arises we aim to give you 10 days' notice and a full refund. If you need to cancel your class booking, we require a minimum of 10 days' notice in order for you to receive a refund (less £3 administration charge). No refund can be given if less than 10 days' notice is given.
