Come a spend a day sewing with Jacky working on a current project. or if you want some new ideas Jacky can give you a hand.
Jacky will have a few projects to show you that will cover various techniques.
Some of the techniques that will be available:
- Disappearing Blocks. Have fun creating simple blocks such as Shoofly and Pinwheel and then cut them up to create some interesting designs.
- Half square triangle lap quilt. Use just three colours and half square triangles, to create a colourful lap quilt.
- Quarter Square triangle quilt. I will show how by using quarter square triangles in the sashing, it can create a striking design .
Enthusiastic beginners who are interested in learning new techniques are welcome.

Requirements
- everything you need to work on your current project
- sewing machine in good working order, including power lead and foot pedal
- 1/4" foot for your sewing machine
- cutting mat, 45mm rotary cutter, rotary cutting ruler
- fabric scissors, small sharp scissors, paper scissors
- small iron (optional)
For most classes and workshops, you will need to bring your own supplies and equipment; a list of specific requirements can be seen above. When materials are included or supplied by the tutor, this will be stated in the class description.
We provide free unlimited tea & coffee however we are no longer providing lunches.
All workshops and classes must be paid for in full. We are sorry, but sometimes we have to cancel a class due to circumstances beyond our control. If this arises we aim to give you 10 days' notice and a full refund. If you need to cancel your class booking, we require a minimum of 10 days' notice in order for you to receive a refund (less £3 administration charge). No refund can be given if less than 10 days' notice is given.
