Apologies for the delay in posting! .. I truly have been engrossed in exploring different Patch-working techniques and have even taken on board another project involving hand paper piecing - Patchwork of the Crosses by Lucy Boston (well my take on it!) and OW how i'm loving it!
There's nothing like a bit of hand sewing whilst watching the tele - why didn't I get gripped sooner!!? ... It also helps having something to work towards and I'm aiming for my Brothers wedding next August, so plenty of time to sew, sew, sew in their joint favourite colour red! :)
But talking of colour, lets start with how I've been getting on with my very orange and blue sampler quilt! .. here's my first 3 blocks ..
I've just loved bringing each block together, it's been like a patch-working puzzle! They're laid out in the order that I constructed them and as you can see there's a little bit more added to each one which I've found the best way to learn!
.. can you guess which colour background I'll pick next? ,,,
