Originally a ceramicist, Stephanie Redfern is now a professional artist, working not only in textiles, but also in traditional print and illustration media, as well as mixed media. Her work incorporates both realistic elements and more abstract interpretations influenced by many aspects of the natural world, architecture, comics, botanical art, painting, printmaking and ancient and contemporary artefacts.
Hilary Beattie is an artist who works mainly in fabric and collage, painting, printing and dyeing most of her fabrics herself. She takes inspiration from the world around her and tries to capture some of the wonder she feels.
Stephanie and Hilary will be working together during their Open Studio time at The Bramble Patch, and their work will be on exhibit in our Summer Showcase.
