This Mini Treasure explores the stunning effects of the Log Cabin block.

The fabric used in the example mini quilt is Snowberry by 3 Sisters for Moda. However, you have the charming collection Grand Haven by Minick & Simpson for Moda. You will be able to create gorgeous vibrant blocks with striking colour combinations. Your fat quarter to compliment this and to be used for the centre and ‘small’ border is a Makower Linen texture no. 1473 V.

This simple little block is so satisfying to stitch together and once you have made all 16, the fun and magic really begins when you start to plan the final layout of the mini quilt. But remember to achieve some of the quilt pattern options illustrated you must ensure that you make 8 blocks with a RED dominant side and 8 blocks with a BLUE dominant side.
