Equipment
- sewing machine in good working order, including power lead and foot pedal
- cutting mat, 45mm rotary cutter, rotary
- cutting rulers, ie - Omnigrid (if possible)
- sewing machine needles
- thread to match
- fabric scissors, small sharp scissors, paper scissors
- quick unpick, pins, notebook, pen, pencil, 12” ruler
- A mini iron and wool mat would be really helpful if you have one.
Fabric Requirements
To make a cushion you will need
- 6 fat ¼'s- these should be 2 x light, 2 x medium and 2 x dark, or alternatively, all contrasting. (Small prints or solid colours work best)
- A piece of wadding 20"square
- ½m of freezer paper
- 20" zip if desired, but not essential (for cushion)- you will have a choice of zip closure or envelope back.
If you do not want to make a cushion 6 fat ¼ is plenty for you to make a selection of blocks and learn the technique, if you go on to make a quilt you will need approximately 20 fat quarters.
For most classes and workshops, you will need to bring your own supplies and equipment; a list of specific requirements can be seen above. When materials are included or supplied by the tutor, this will be stated in the class description.
We provide free unlimited tea & coffee however we are no longer providing lunches.
All workshops and classes must be paid for in full. We are sorry, but sometimes we have to cancel a class due to circumstances beyond our control. If this arises we aim to give you 10 days' notice and a full refund. If you need to cancel your class booking, we require a minimum of 10 days' notice in order for you to receive a refund (less £5 administration charge). No refund can be given if less than 10 days' notice is given.
