Today's Tuesday tip is from designer Fi who recommends it as one of the easiest ways to choose co-ordinating fabrics for your favourite multi-colour fabrics.
Those coloured dots on the selvedges of fabric show all the different screens used in the printing process, so they're the perfect way to see the actual colours used in the print. By looking for fabrics that match those colours, you'll be able to add in plains, blenders and prints from other collections to mix it up in your quilt. Fabric collections are wonderful, but don't be afraid to branch out!
Main fabrics shown are from the "Pagoda Dreams" collection from Michael Miller Fabrics, along with co-ordinating fat quarters from Moda Bella Solids, Makower Linen Texture and Moda Grunge basics ranges.
