Wind bobbins at full speed

Wind bobbins at full speed

Today's tip comes from the Sew Studio team and it's about avoiding the dreaded baggy bobbin!

Just like thread when you're sewing, the thread when you're winding a bobbin needs to be under the correct tension. The best way to achieve that is to put the pedal to the metal and wind at full speed!

Uneven, loosely wound bobbins don't provide the correct tension to match the upper thread when you come to stitch, so you could end up with uneven or skipped stitches, the bobbin thread showing on top, or tangles underneath – none of which is good for your blood pressure! So be a speed demon and wind bobbins at full throttle!
